The Khush Kollective, a 26-piece ensemble is led by Jojo Remeny;
a fashion designer, composer and drummer.
In trying to find suitable music for Jojo Remeny’s debut fashion collection catwalk show,
Jojo Remeny utilised his skills in music composition to create Mother Earth.
The Khush Kollective is made up of an eclectic mix of musicians from different musical backgrounds: Western classical, Indian classical, rock, jazz and World music.
The musician’s own stylistic playing and interpretation of Jojo’s scores of music
permeates the compositions.
Khush means happy in Hindi and so the ensemble is 'The happy collective'
Mother Earth the album, echo’s songs that are: transcendental and mellifluous one minute, grooving the next and polyphonic in layers of textured voices on other occasions.
This ethereal work of soundscapes is an uninterrupted synthesis
of world music traditions and improvisations.
